Featured Events

The winners of the Iowa Blues Challenge last year not only took home prize packages including recording time, cash, and invites to perform at the 2016 Winter Blues Fest and Bottoms Up Blues Bash, but also expense money to travel to Memphis to compete in the 2016 International Blues Challenge. Qualified to represent the Central Iowa Blues Society at the event in Memphis are solo/duo winners Tina Haase-Findlay and Brandon Findlay and band winner Mother Ship Blues Band.

To preserve, cultivate and support the blues in Southeast Iowa on all levels and in multiple venues; to provide current blues news and events for members; to increase awareness of and appreciation for the blues through society sanctioned educational efforts and to provide a network of association for area blues lovers and blues musicians.
